Some of you know this designer...

"I'm an interactive designer, storyteller, and community builder living in Brooklyn, NY. I care about the humans who use what I design, and strive to make work that matters." - Maya Bruck

If you don't know Maya either from having her as your Typography I teacher at Parkland or from CUDO or from somewhere else, I can tell you that she is one of the most dedicated, passionate, and creative designers I've had the pleasure to know. She co-founded CUDO, she worked as lead designer at PIXO and also at WOLFRAM, and she simply loves life, learning, people, and helping others be the best they can be and passionate about what they do.

I only recently looked at her professional portfolio website, and I was really impressed with it, not that I expected anything less. I like her logo a lot, and all it is is a black circle with her handwritten name in white in the middle. The site is designed beautifully and navigates perfectly. I also love the personal touches she adds with the copy she wrote that heads each section and the whimsical photo of her with a big smile on her face. Please go to the site and have a look around. You may or may not be inspired by it, but I recommend it as a clean, beautifully designed, simple portfolio website that definitely has Maya's fingerprints all over it!
